My outdoor maternity sessions are a chance for you to take some space from the busyness of life. To anchor yourself in the moment, breathe deeply, and just be. To lie in warm, golden grass and feel the weight of the earth beneath you. Or sink your toes into the sand, taste the salt on your lips and watch the sunset dance across the waves.
I don’t want to give you photos of ‘that time you went for a pregnancy shoot’. I want to capture a beautiful, powerful woman, completely at one with nature, her bump, and her body. I want you to leave feeling grounded, rested and empowered all at the same time.
You’re a force of nature when you’re pregnant.
Your maternity session is your time, to be experienced however you choose. Whether you want to take the time purely for yourself, share the experience with your partner, or bring along littluns, pets and parents, it’s completely your choice.
We could head to the beach, nestle into the long grass, or stroll through the forest…there’s never any right or wrong, or better or worse. This is your time to connect with your body, and your bump. With whomever you choose, and wherever your soul feels safest.

The great thing about being a maternity photographer in Weymouth is the sheer volume of insanely beautiful locations we have right on our doorstep. From the burnt-amber cliffs of the Jurassic Coast, to emerald lagoons, forests, fields and wild meadows…it’s basically a photographer’s paradise all year round!
I take my boys exploring in our campervan literally every chance I get! So I know where all the best photo spots are in every season, which beaches are dog-friendly, and where it's easy to park. I even know where we can go to get away from everyone so you can have a bit of privacy!

What should I wear?
The most important thing here is that you are comfortable, i always find that people are happier and more confident when they are wearing something that makes them feel good. As a part of your photoshoot, you will have full access to my client wardrobe full of dress's to compliment your bump perfectly and upon booking, you will receive a full style and prep guide from me to help you plan ahead.
Where will my session take place?
The location is entirely up to you, where do you spend your time as a family, what do you love to do, we can go hiking, have a campfire the list is endless but equally if you don’t have a particular place in mind- I am happy to recommend several magic locations i often use depending upon the season. Some of the locations do require a little walking so if you have any mobility issues, please do let me know before hand so I can take this into consideration. Travel up to 25 miles is included in the session fee, however if you would like a quote for a little further please let me know.
What should we expect for our shoot?
When people ask me what to expect, it's so hard to pinpoint my answer as every shoot i do is so different so my advice to you is to come with zero expectations. Embrace what comes whether that's the wind, the rain, fits of laughter, tears or whatever emotion unfolds. our time together is about capturing you and your precious little life growing inside, a chance for you to connect to your bump and just be. it normally takes around ten minutes to relax into a shoot and feel comfortable with what you are doing but i promise you, i do my upmost to make you feel confident and by the time you leave, you will feel like you've been on one awesome adventure.
When should I book my shoot?
Its always best to get in touch as early as possible to avoid missing out. I typically book 3 months in advance so would suggest booking a newborn or maternity shoot just after your 20 week scan and for couples and for couples and families up to 4 months in advance.
What about the weather?
Being in the UK means the weather can be pretty unpredictable doesn’t it! I am an all round outdoorsy person so am happy to shoot in any weather and won’t usually cancel until the last minute as some of the rainiest days can end with the most epic of skies. If you are uncomfortable to shoot with little ones or if you don’t want to get wet i completely understand and we can reschedule to the nearest possible date.
What should we bring?
If you have any adventure gear you use as a family I am ALWAYS up for incorporating this from Paddleboards to skateboards, whatever makes your heart skip a beat. Perhaps you might want to bring some smaller props a blanket, a picnic, a change of clothes, then please do so. For babies and children; think about bringing some neutral toys; teethers, snacks, anything that may bring a sense of comfort for them but you’re happy to end up in images.
What areas do you cover and do you travel for sessions?
I mostly cover Dorset and some of South Devon. But i absolutely love to travel, as a family we are quite often on the road living out our little camper so if you have a location in mind please feel free to get in touch. If we are on the road in a particular place and I am planning on working I will share this on my instagram too.
(a small travel fee will be applied if travelling for work only outside a 25 mile radius)
What time will the shoot be?
For an indoor session these can be shot at any time of day. On location sessions take place during golden hour which is around 90 minutes before sunset or just after sunrise.
Can I choose the images?
Of course; the full gallery will be sent to you via a private online gallery and you can choose the number of images as per your package or upgrade if you wish.
